The Batman - no iTunes extras!

The Batman is a available to purchase on iMovies today. But for some reason there isn’t a single special feature. This seems really odd, since new releases like this always tend to come with a ton of special features, sometimes with exclusive apple extras not available on disc.
 
I extras in the USA iTunes Store. I know that extras are region-specific at times.

I'm not seeing any extras either - just the film. Have looked on iTunes, iOS and my Apple TV - nada. Very disappointing!
 
Yeah they’re not currently available in the UK but they’ll more than likely be uploaded soon enough.

I'm in Canada but have a UK, Canada, and USA iTunes account. I do see the extras in USA and Canada so I believe the extras will eventually appear in the UK store. The extras are provided by the studio rather than Apple itself.

I find the USA store gets a lot of movies before other places which is one reason I consider my USA library to be my "go-to" region for buying movies and redeeming digital codes even though I'm in Canada.
 
Have the extras historically taken a while to turn up? Other 'day 1' purchases I've made have just had them there straight away.

It’s because it’s previously up until today has been a premium rental, which is why the extras haven’t been added before it went live to buy.

I’ve never encountered this issue before. The features have always been there on day one. I phoned Apple and they told me that the features will NOT be added in the future when I asked if there was a delay or bug.

Apple reps don’t usually have a clue with regards to what happens with iTunes movies.
As I mentioned before the most probable reason is because it was a premium rental, if I were a betting man I’d guess you may very well see the extras appear over night as Tuesdays are usually the day for any sorts of upgrades to movies.
I’d be very surprised if the extras don’t appear at all.

Well, looks like the extras aren’t available at all with the UK version. Shame.

I’ve got the 4K blu ray on pre order so I’ll get to see them anyway. Just a pain when studios do these kind of deals.
 
I’m a fan of Zoe Kravitz’ work and enjoyed her performance in The Batman. However I found the movie to be just meh. For me, the surprising job done by the Michael Keaton version leads the pack.

This is so disappointing. I’d like to know why. I guess I’ll have to buy it on 4K disc now.

The U.S. Constitution got us through nearly 250 years; we're now relying on iTunes Extras as our selling point for the next 250 years.
 
Just FYI - iTunes Extras have been added in the UK. I had to delete/hide the movie from my account and then unhide it from my account settings, but they are finally there.
