(Forum Spy is not loading.) I am most upset about this.
Yeah, I thought the server committed suicide because of those threads!
It's back up but the problem now is that it's just a string of "The Beatles Appear in iTunes Store posts." Ugh.
Just a guess, but it is probably a load to the system when post volume is high or some such thing, so it was a pre-emptive strike against something that was actually exciting happening.
That or WildCowboy just likes messing with you...
It's all your posts in those Beatles threads that bought it down.

I am trying to scan the spy for threads the are NOT Beatles related. I'm more interested in Apple stuff...

Spy is integral to the MR experience ever since Knox unveiled it to a select few all those years ago and we tried it out, to the point of discussing the colour of buddy highlights. Remember finding it weird at first, but quickly succumbed as many did, quickly discarding hammering the server with 'New Posts' requests. Mess with it at your peril.
Guess we can cross that long-running story off the list, next stop G5 powerbook, headless Mac and Blu-Ray, maybe even together.
You can at least temporarily turn off Forum Spy for the main news forum until the craziness passes.
If you want Apple stuff, Beatles = Apple Records and Beatles = Apple iTunes .

They have all been replaced by the monsters that are the iPxxx forums. Nasty places to go.
Perhaps soon people will be clamoring for a "Beatles on the Mac" forum.
