I love my skinny alum apple keyboard. I don't think I could ever go back to a big clunky keyboard. Unfortunately I have to use a big clunky keyboard at the office. Sigh

It's the opposite here. I wish I could use a Model M or Unicomp's Customizer at the office, even if I have to buy it myself, but the noise will drive my colleague nuts.

I hope I won't have to file for a divorce because of my newly aquired Customizer's noise level.

Judge: Why are you filing for divorce?
Me: Because of a keyboard your honour!

I have my mouse in one, and have used my camera in the other.

Me no understand.

You mean they're just stickers? I don't quite understand.

Better late than never I suppose.

I can't get anything except my mouse to work on them. And the terrible thing is I don't use it on them since I get slowdown compared to the 1000mhz polling I get from a "root" USB on the back of the Mac.
Doesn't work with my 360 game controller, memory card reader, hard drive, pen drive, anything! XP throws errors up saying that not enough power can get to the device, OSX says nothing.

But I guess it wasn't designed to handle anything more than a mouse.

The total current a USB port can legally draw is 500ma. The keyboard is limited to 500ma minus the amount of current it takes to power the keyboard itself - so devices expecting 500ma (or more) will be limited.

I like the Apple Adjustable keyboard as far as an Apple-branded board is concerned (well, except the chicklet island - but obviously it wasn't required to prod those keys as much). The just-superceded keyboard was a joke, and while the current keyboard may be pretty solid, in terms of build, the feedback is terrible.

I went through a lot of the IBM keyboards but I have to say I wasn't a huge fan of them. I do prefer the laptop-style scissor-action keyboards even for desktop use, but only good ones - i.e. not Apple's.

The Microsoft Reclusa is one of the better low-cost membrane keyboards I've come across - and a darned sight better than Apple's previous-model white keyboard. It's solid, has good feedback and response.
