Being able to use the phone in the rain. I live in a country where it always rains and I’m outside a lot. However it’s impossible to use the phone in the rain as it causes issues with the touch screen.

Why has no one sorted this yet? You cannot use old phones as the keypads let water in and you cannot use modern phones cause the screens need to be clean from anything conductive I’m guessing.

So I still find myself walking along and wiping my screen from rain every five seconds as I type, or have to lean over to protect the screen from the rain.

Why can’t I walk out in a field with my dog in the rain for a couple hours and use my phone? You can shove your bigger and faster phones with more and more cameras and bigger batteries…. In fact I’m wasting more battery spending three times as long trying to do anything on it in the rain.

I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro Max that is over five years old now, it’s fast enough and the cameras are good enough. I do not need faster, everything on it is good enough, the big let down is not being able to use it in the rain.

Before anyone says the new iPhones are better at it, I know for a fact they are not. The girlfriend gets the new phone and
I get the hand me downs to save money as we’re all poor now in Europe.

Whilst Im out walking my dogs the last thing I want to be doing is on my phone!

Stick your phone in your pocket, leave it there and enjoy the walk uninterrupted!

It's OK to be screen free for a while.

That's what I do anyway.

I try not to be so addicted to my phone that I ignore my dog while walking it so I can spend even more time on my phone.

Besides, phones are waterproof you can use it in the rain, not sure why I'd want too, other then a short call, or something like that - no need to play candy crush in the rain while your dog has fun in a field

Now I'm not recommending you put this on your screen, but if you want to be my beta tester... 🤣

A rain-protective force field is what you want…the kind that doesn't interfere with cellular or WiFi signals. Not only would it keep the phone dry but your clothes as well.
