Hard to compare the new MBP's but the MacBook spec hasn't change, so before the event £1299 for the top spec and after £1549 :(

Regretting not buying one yesterday!

After Brexit is finalized, hold another referendum and
vote to join the United States. (bring Canada as well)

"Federation of Canada, USA and Britain" is a name that
comes to mind. "CUB" for short. Go Cubs!!! (both the
new country and the current MLB team)

We welcome guys with open arms. :)

Thanks for the heads-up about the John Lewis warranty. I've been luck enough never to use previous ones on TVs and stuff, so fingers crossed I will be again.

I'll pass on the CUBs idea until the 9th November if that's OK. After the Brexit vote (which I was on the wrong side of) I fear our friends over the pond might vote the wrong way too!

US price is up on the new machines too.. use to start at $1999 for a 15 inch and now it's $2399. Big jump!

This is something that most people seem to be either missing or ignoring. A lot of the explanations for European price increases have been placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of Brexit, but in this case it's not that simple.

About £300-£400 of the increase is brexit, the rest is passing on the increase in US prices. Brexit or no brexit, there's absolutely no way I'm dropping £700 more on the refreshed config of my current machine.

Keep in mind guys that the US has sales tax in most states. Where I live, its 10.25% (Chicago). Meaning that $2399 machine is really $2,656.
