Since 8.3 beta my iPhone 6 Plus has suffered a poor quality rear-facing camera with the inability to focus manually on anything further away from me than perhaps my arm length. Due to this being a beta, I accepted that and moved on. But iOS 8.3 GM turned out to be exactly the same, on the off chance that 8.4 Beta 1 would solve the worry I bothered to download that and I am having no joy. I have read a lot about the beta having bugs such as camera faults in the 6 Plus but is anybody still suffering from this wit the public release? (6 Plus).

Might be a defect with your 6 Plus, I'm not having any of the issues you've described here, I'm also on 8.3.

This isn't the worst, I was trying to take a picture at a football game and honestly the grass looked like it was in 8-Bit. This is from a tiny distance. I'm not a professional photographer but I've had some great photos out of the device, this is disappointing considering how it has never been dropped.

My front camera is of superior quality to the rear... and seen as the camera is one of the few internal improvements to the device It is incredibly annoying.

I know the process, been here before with an iPad Mini that refused to charge. Thanks I just wanted to find out if it was a fault with iOS before I exchanged a perfectly good phone. Thank you.

I swear I saw a thread recently about how after a user upgraded to 8.3 their 6 or 6+ (can't remember) would not focus.

ETA: I remember that it wouldn't autofocus during video.

I have read about a few, I was wondering if anyone had thought of a fix. I cannot hear the module moving like some people have reported but I will be taking it to the Apple Store today. I will be pretty annoyed if they send it off for repairs and I do not see it for two weeks. Apple watch and all.

What annoys me is that this will be my sixth phone (If they replace it) I have had over he past three years. I am usually very praising towards Apple but it's almost like I have to change my phone twice a year. I cannot blame it on drops or excessive vibration either because I am incredibly careful and do not do any exercise with the phone in my pocket.

Are you expecting your camera on your phone to resolve the grass shot at a football game from a distance? It is will nothing but a glob/blur.

You do not understand, 3G artificial turf from standing on the pitch was an example of distance. There is evidently a problem here, and it is not due to any residue on the lens.

Problem solved:

My iPhone has been repaired, here is a photo I took because I was offered a try on while I waited:

No gripes about my 6+ camera

Takes gorgeous, rich pictures that satisfy my needs (social media sharing, printing at Walgreens on 5x7s....)
