I haven't. Neither in Mac-on-Linux/Mac-on-Mac nor in PearPC. As of today, QEMU is the only emulator that Cheetah runs in. The attached image shows what I got trying to run Cheetah in MOL.Has anyone managed to start Cheetah in Mac-on-Mac?

Has anyone tested any of this software on Mac OS X DP2? I'm installing it on a Beige G3 for fun.
I figure if anything runs on it at all it would be something that works on Cheetah.
Let's compare cheetah's UI to big sur's. We've come a long way.Happy birthday, Cheetah! 20 years on
I agree, but if you had the source code, you can make them productive just as I intend to try with the help of 10 others make OS 9 better. But why not ?
Really these old OSXs are hardly useable for "production". So it's just fun discovering old stuff , finding how they evolved version after version and playing with it.

Of all the things for a ServerOS to choke on: Sound. 😶it does not sadly boot all the way up, it seems to kernel Panic when it goes to initialise sound but im not 100% sure, the panic message is "mpic_register_int interrupt 136 not found" which happens just as it starts talking about sound "PPCAwacs" etc
