I accidentally tap it too much so it comes down too much. It's a nice function showing the weather and reminders etc. but I don't think it's really needed, and comes down too much accidentally when I don't want to see it. How can I stop this?

Also what's good about the new update besides the camera taking pictures with the button

I hate it, it's good for nothing.

I always have to be very careful not to drag the thing down.

It's not a curtain, it's the Notification Center, one of iOS 5's major updates. There is no way to disable it.

For me, the Notification Centre requires a fairly positive swipe action rather than a random tap to reveal it.

Is it just me or do other think it looks crapy on the iPad 2? I think it should take up the whole screen like it does on the iPhone...

I don't think so. Today I have "British Summer Time Ends". I don't need the whole screen for iPad to tell me that 😉

OP, it's impossible to pull the curtain by tapping, you pull by dragging or swiping.

You must be using the wrong curtain.

i like how when you're in an app, the first drag will just pull the "tab" out sort of like saying, "are you playing fruit ninja or do you want to actually see your notifications?"

here's to apple allowing other widgets to reside in the notifications tab.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I've never pulled it down by accident.

I don't think it should take up the whole screen, but it should be bigger.

It would be nice to have Weather and Stocks on it, too.
