It's 22" so it must have an MVA or TN panel. The 23" ACD is cheaper and has an S-IPS panel.

If Dell can make this with a hi-res 30" LCD - and keep it under 1500 USD - I'll come knockin.

But for a 22" 1680x1050 - (#*K no!

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing I paid 1000+ for 1680x1050.

You can't do 1080p on that (only up to 720) - I've never understood why 1680x1050 still exists - when just 30 more lines will bring you to 1080.

A Certain Degree Of Style Over Substance?

Apple themselves are living breathing proof that a big wodge of consumers value looks over everything else.

My Dell 24" is fine, but in 5 years a 30" version of the Crystal display should be very affordable.

1680x1050 on a 22" versus 1920x1200 on a 17", I'd take the 17" any day.

For that price, I'd just pick up a new iMac.

I have never seen or heard of a 17" desktop monitory with 1920*1200 resolution. Could you enlighten me with a link?

Are you kidding? Fugly? That thing's gorgeous. The specs blow, but looks alone, that monitor rocks. Stop drinkin the koolaid you guys!

22'' TN panel monitor for 1.2k?? Yeah right! And for what, a piece of glass over a LCD monitor?

I think dell went overboard with practicality vs price. This is probably the worst valued monitor out there.
