...Cell phones have NOT kept the same battery life over the years. The Iphone 3G had 5 hours of talk time and the models have steadily increased to now where we have an Iphone 6 with 15 hours and an Iphone 6 Plus with 25 hours. That's 3 to 5 times the battery life and Android devices have been improving exponentially as well. So I wouldn't even consider that "about".

Yes they have relatively speaking. While electronics have and will become slightly more efficient (Moor's law), batt. technology (lith-ion) remains mostly the same (and will for the foreseeable future). In your examples most of the gains are trough physical increases in battery storage. The original iPhone had a 1400mA-h batt and the iPhone 6 Plus has a 2915mA-h battery which is over 70% more battery energy available. This will NOT be practical in the aWatch. I just don't see a 70mm (same percentage increases in size) aWatch Plus (although never say never) to accommodate a similar batt size increases.

....also almost everyone still charges their cell phones overnight or daily and even Plus owners with their GIANT batteries aren't getting some remarkable week of batt. life with everyday use.

Right only problem is that we weren't talking about battery technology, you stated that battery LIFE hasn't changed since 2007 which is blatantly false. It has increased multiple times over the iphone iterations to now being exponentially longer.

There's multiple ways to go about increasing the battery life. If we know there's one thing Apple takes pride in with new iterations of products it's battery life (and thinness). It's one of the main things central to user experience which is why it's almost always emphasized in the keynotes. Please believe they'll make it a priority to find a way to increase it. Like I said before , I dont NEED a week. 2-3 days would be nice.

and I haven't taken a large poll but I use my Iphone 5 pretty regularly throughout the day ( calls, texts, e-mails, notifications, twitter, youtube, browsing, etc) and I still can get two days out of it. 3 when my usage is light. I know others who do the same. I dont know if you guys just aren't calibrating and charging your phones right but it's definitely possible. I assume with a 6 plus I can get 3-4 days. I've been with Iphones since the first generation so you really can't tell me battery LIFE has not increased.

Like I said, I dont need a week, but 2-3 days to at least assure someone that they wont run out during a LONG BUSY day would definitely be the target.
