I've been using a business card holder for the last year and two years before that with my old phone, plus my lighting cable plugged into the USB powerplug. On my nightstand and the clock I use every night has landscape mode.

Same at work, another business card holder.

Less than $5 at Walmart. :D

Works for me…

I use the exact same business card holder when I don't want my phone on the dock or if I'm charging 2 iPhones at once (personal + work iPhone). I like it, but when the phone vibrates, it makes a god awful clatter.

But even though we should be glad the dock is back, is it the best option for its price? There are other Lightning docks out there that are better, but come at a higher price.

Apple dock is quite reasonable at 29 bucks, IMO.

In my opinion, this is definitely the best option. My reasoning is that this Apple dock has got an audio line-out port while almost all 3 parties dock for the iPhone 5 series do not offer that.

Cool! I have vibrate off though for everything, so I'm not experiencing that fortunately.

Now if they'd only include it like they did with the original iPhone.

The original was also claimed to have superior audio quality, as it was routing through the dock connector, bypassing the volume control system, etc.

They're back!

What other Lightning docks are out there? I only know of the Twelve South HiRise, the Elevation Dock and Dock+.

If the Apple dock is stable enough, it'd be a good option at 29 bucks.
