At the earliest it could be 2028/29 till we get a full series , while I am angry and frustrated with the lies I don’t blame anyone solely it was a collective number of things that led to this .
Rumours was just a couple of weeks ago it was still going ahead the Christmas’s special but something behind the scenes we don’t know must of happened .
Who knows , all I can say is thank you to the team that got it back on screen and I have loved the last 3 years of new Doctor who .
Hopefully it will return triumphantly and with a new fresh twist.

I'm not a die hard fan, but I've enjoyed the series, though the past couple of years I thought the writing was rather weak. I'm not surprised to see go.

Yes. The long suspected Second Wilderness Years...

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see any new (tv) content for at least 5 years. Whoever decides to tender for the show will want time to develop a strong way to (hopefully soft) reboot the show, and will want to put some distance between what we've been seeing the past few years, and whatever they dream up.

As they say however - We Will Survive. WE WILL SURVIVE.

It's worth bearing in mind that the current version of the show ran for 20 years! 2005 to 2025. That's AMAZING. There aren't a large number of scripted tv shows that have pulled off runs like that worldwide. Classic Who of course amongst them.
