It freaks me out that people don't back up ever. I only back up ever two weeks or so, but if I ever put anything onto my phone that i feel is "precious" data, I instantly sync it up. I just don't trust technology after losing all my Italy photos to a faulty SD card all those years ago....hahaYep, at least its only a few months of data that he lost.
Could have been worst.

From just skimming over what the guy is saying, it seems that his iPhone was still detectable. If you're isn't being detected, then I don't think it's gonna work. He gives instructions, so it's worth a shot if you wanna try it.Okay, well, I'm going to let this thread live another day to see if anyone (or hey, maybe even me!) comes up with a new idea.
Then I'm just going to go for the restore.
Anyone have any comments on that link i posted?

You can copy your contacts to address book and then sync them with itunes if you dont want to restore from backups.
I try to stay away from restoring from backups cause bugs and issues might be inherited.
So, I need to set it up as a "new iphone" after restore?
Can I still sync my contacts and everything?
