With the XS released, various retailers “should” look to clear out old stock.
My dream is to find a brand new X for around £600

I’m watching Argos, John Lewis etc, so far the Argos eBay store has refurbed ones with 1yr warranty for £600. But new / sealed is preferred. I expect once they stock the XS next week, the X will get a price drop...
[doublepost=1536995745][/doublepost]And as I typed that JL have the X at £899. It’s a start at least!

Look on ebay, they are starting to drop now. I saw a few new ones on there a couple of days ago for around £680. Was very tempted... As long as you buy new from a reputable seller there is no risk.

Gonna sub to this thread as I’m also looking for a great deal on an X - either as a contract or phone-only 24 month payment plan. Sky/Virgin Mobile have some great new tariffs on the X but nothing new so far from the main carriers. eBay prices will probably drop further when the XS and XR are launched. Keep us posted on any new deals you find!

I think you’re dreaming there and no offence meant. I’ve been checking the prices the last few days on all of last years iPhones and strangely they went down after the launch, but seem to have increased this last couple of days. iPhone 8 contracts were cheaper on the 20th July than they are now too which is very weird seeing as it’s no longer the current iPhone?

Which network?
That one was on O2.

Have been thinking about an 8 the past few days to replace my 6 but decided to go for it and step up to a X from John Lewis! Ordered this morning, dispatched today for tomorrow.

£600 is too low to be honest.
Don’t forget Apple takes/took out the unsold X inventory to protect its brand,so it’s not like there will be loads of unsold iPhone Xes out there waiting for price drop.
I bought my 64 GB X around 4 months back and it’s pristine, accessories never used and I will be selling it to buy the Xs Max and I will aim for £700 on ebay.thats what it’s worth and sells there if it’s in like new condition with Apple warranty.

Approximately 3 people queued at the Apple Store in my capital city today lol.

It was similar last year but maybe around 15 people. The buzz and hype has been diminishing here over the past few years I have to say. Probably more interest in the now cheaper X.

Tempted myself by the iPhone X 256GB from Very for £999 as need a bigger storage from my 64GB
Sort of in the same place since the news around reception issues on Xs

Have never used Very before.. Are these brand new units?

I got my s4 watch and iPhone X from Very on Friday, 10% off as a new customer + 2.1% via topcashback. So £1140 ish total.

Register @Very as a new customer but then pay with your CC to avoid some of their more dubious finance practices.
I also got the Horizon strap and Horizon XS case too. Bread and water for dinner this week...
