I was sitting, when it occurred to me -- I can't be the only furry here! But after doing a little searching, I can't seem to find any others.

so, I guess this is a thread dedicated to the Furries of MacRumors! I'll start it I guess -- I'm a fox with a blue tipped ear, what are you guys and gals like?

My only request is no hating here please. Let's be civil -- Furries tend to get shot down and I have no intention for that to happen here. Thanks!

I'm not a furry, so I can't speak with any real experience in furry hangouts, but have you played secondlife? There was a big furry community there.

I've thought about it, but between the cost, the chances of getting addicted, and trying to fit it in with my job and other hobbies, I decided against it. :p maybe someday though, thanks for the tip!
 
What cost? Are they charging now?

I haven't played it in a while. My favorite hangouts are all barren or overrun with griefers now, so I just haven't fallen back into it yet. It is fun though, and the furries were pretty cool to hang out with. When no one is around, you can build crap to waste time. I already built the Flutter from Megaman Legends and a bit of Trigger himself, as well as hack and slash from Reboot.

Just be aware, some of the regions are pretty bad. Like, Xbox live voice chat bad.
 
Pardon me for being ignorant on this topic, but what is a "furry" in the contexts of this thread? Is it some sort of video game thing?

I started way back when they gave you a weekly allowance. Now, you have to pay for virtual currency, but there are plenty of good free things. You also have to pay to own land, but many people there don't own land and still enjoy themselves.

This conversation is making me consider playing it again.

But yeah! Any others Furries or friends of Furries out there?
 
Can we say a character that we would like to be... like a blue bear with red claws and orange feet or something??

You're concerned about the cost and addiction rate of second life? Color me confused all things considering. Is this what they call irony? :confused:

I personally don't dress or role play as an animal.

Man, if he's not a furry, he's missing out :p

Anyway, I'll post a (albeit unfinished) furry drawing of myself when I get on my Mac later.
