    Hi everyone, long time lurker first time poster. I've been trying to pick up an iPad since Monday, but haven't gotten my hands on one yet. After using the iPad in the store though, I'm very optimistic about this one. I've noticed that there are a ton of people complaining about the lack of multitasking, etc but I feel that some are overlooking the way Apple seems to handle new device releases. I got an iPod touch on release day back in 2007, and at first it was a POS! It was locked down to the point that all it was an iPod with Safari. There were no apps and no expandablilty. I still use this iPod today, with the latest software and its such a great device! I feel that the same will happen sooner rather than later with the iPad. In time multitsking will be a reality and HTML 5 and other technologies will make the web 100% viewable on the. It's exciting to see a device that is great at launch because if history is any predictor, the device will be much, much better in a year or two.

    The iPad in 3-4 months will not even resemble the iPad of today once app developers step their game up.

    The iPad is much more of an app machine than the iPhone ever was. I think developers are going to have a field day with this thing!

    If it's much better in a year or two Apple will have an awesome machine on their hands. I'm already very satisfied with my iPad.

    First step is to add a camera. Next steps will be to make it lighter and fater.

    Personally, I feel that although the form factor will definitely push things forward in the creativity of the apps, the real thing that will do it is for Apple to take multitouch to the next level.

    It's very basic right now. Is OS4 has more of a multi-touch chording 'language' that developers can exploit, I think we're going to see some truly innovative apps.

    Anti-Glare = You can buy a non-glare screen protector.
    I'd like it to be lighter (not at the batteries expense), but any thinner would make it feel just wierd.
    Wide Screen = Again would be awkward, too much space vertically, and not enough horizontally.
    Flash = Well there's a huge debate
    Cooler Apps = +1
    Less Bugs = +1

    Widescreen, Flash and multitasking support would do it for me.
