I just recently got my first Macbook Pro and am trying to learn to code for my iPhone, but don't know where to start in terms of turning my ideas into reality. I have an idea for a game, and an idea for some other apps, but just need to learn more about all of the other stuff that goes into making games. On that note, I was curious if there are any coding groups out there working on games, somewhat akin to open source projects but for the iphone?

I have coded in many languages, just not objective c and just graduated with my E.E. degree, so I'm looking more for real world tips that helped you develop your application.

I was also curious about how people go about throwing their ideas around to other people. Say for instance this game idea I have in my head. It doesn't appear to have been done yet, but I'm not sure if it's something that people will even enjoy. I guess if anything it's good practice to make something, regardless if the first one is a flop.

    Thanks for the advice.
