I am using Gimp on my Macbook (using OS 10.6) but I have been having some problems with the software and I was wondering if you could help me. First of all is that if I copy an image from the internet and paste as a new layer in Gimp it doesn't paste the image it just pastes a picture of a J peg ( the icon with the boy on the piece of paper I don't know what it is called though.) This is really annoying when I want to use pictures from the internet in my work. My next problem is that if I have a picture opened in Gimp and want to paste a selection of it onto another image I am using in Gimp it sometimes pastes the whole image and not just the selected part.
Sorry if it is a bit confusing but I just needed your help because these problems didn't happen on my old PC. Thanks in Advance!
PS. These problems don't occur every time it can work, but only sometimes!
