Not to be argumentative but in guessing this was placebo. Unless you somehow had really bright light shining at thenscreen (or they have their display units set differently). I don't believe the max screen brightness that can be manually set is even different. That isbto say, side by side, and indoors, the two units should be displaying the exact same brightness under all conditions. It is only in direct sunlight that the 1000 nits comes into play due to just how much energy is required to output that much light.I noticed the difference when I tried on the ceramic in store. It's quite nice!
Another possibility is just a better crafted screen; it just looks nicer to you.
Again, just wanted to point this out because there are an equal number of people saying they see no difference indoors (a few even started angry threads) or even outside when the sun isn't shining directly at the Watch face (and this is why).
