Were you the one who posted before (w/ shoulder-length curly hair) and after photos?

Now if I can only commit to this for a few more months.

hang in there <cheers> you can do it! :D

those in between phases are such a bitch. I like my hair either very long or short (like it is currently) and dislike everything in between. It's worth the wait. :)

I ♥ my hairdresser. She's super knowledgeable and does exactly the right thing. My natural bangs look pretty much like that wig and if I pull the rest of my hair back it looks super cute. Its stil kind of short so with the shape of it now I look kind of like a Beatle if I don't pull it back but at least it has more of one now and its not flying everywhere.

Now if I can only commit to this for a few more months.

LOL. How do you filter all these opinions? If I went through this kind of process I'd be so frozen it would take a detailed analysis with graphs and easel just to get out of bed in the morning! Anybody who can read through this kind of stuff and sort it all out and make a decision has impressive mental faculties. Good luck w/ your hair style!

Arrgh, I can't take it anymore!! Its been since January when I had an actual cut and its still in that awkward inbetween stage. :( Not to mention that its summer here and I HATE sweating, especially on the top of my head.

I'm calling my hairdresser next week and having most of it chopped off. Keeping the bangs though, those are hot. :D

Don't do it. You'll regret it.

Perservere through the next few months and then by winter, your hair will be long and luscious, and will look especially good in the cooler, dryer winter air.

Find a cute hat. Use an army of bobby pins. Do whatever it takes to not cut thy locks.

It's hot in summer, you head will sweat with short hair too.

Keep going - you CAN do it.

No! Keep going... you've got through the worst bit!

Is it long enough to stick those little butterfly clips in to hold it off your neck and keep it cool?

Mine is wavy/curly and like you, the inbetween is hell. Now it's way down my back... and I much prefer it to when it was short... Might go back to shoulder-length again mind you...

Since I'm going in for surgery and will have 3+ weeks off for recovery, I'm getting that mohawk! You should too!

I don't think so, the longest part reaches down to the almost the base of my neck but that's only the very back of it, the sides are still ear length. The thing I'm most worried about is that I'm sure it would look good and be infinitely more manageable longer, I'm not sure if it'll get that far. Last time I tried this it got down to about 2-3 inches above my shoulders and stayed there for months. And it was hellish to try to maintain then. I've had several shorter styles before and I can find one or two that look really cute. I don't know if this long hair thing is for me.

Don't forget that it's a pain in the butt to maintain long hair. You have to spend time on it every day or it looks terrible. Short hair is much easier. You look good either way, so why not take the route that is easier to maintain?

That being said, my hair is much longer than yours. I'm planning on getting it cut any day.

Sunday it'll be gone, back to a stylish shorter style as opposed to this unmanageable thing which sits upon the top of my head now. I really don't have the patience to deal with it right now, I have enough stress going on and this just adds to it.

At least I'm getting it coloured this time. :D

I actually liked the short style a lot better than the Betty Page style! The short looks cool, contemporary, cute, understated -- the Betty Page thing just looks like you're trying too hard.

I say if you feel more comfortable with your cute, short style, just keep it. That Betty Page thing would get old really soon. I say grow the short style of the pics another inch or two so it's just a tad more feminine, get a stylish medium length cut and you're all set! You look awesome in your old style.

Gaa!!

Now its too short, the bangs at least. I'm really self-conscious about my forehead and my current cut isn't covering it up enough but it should grow out quickly.

On a better note the colour turned out great, the bangs are kind of a 60/40 red/violet mix and the rest of its dark black. I'll post pics when it grows out a bit. :D

I'm glad you're (relatively) happy with your hair now! I've tried growing my hair longer before, only once, but I do know what you mean about the inbetween bit. I'm a guy that I have to say thinks girls and women look significantly better with longer hair but shorter hair really does suit you. 99.9% of the time I wouldn't feel that way with girls or women but I think your shorter hair over here looked better than he wig. Not that long hair wouldn't suit you too of course, all members of the female race can pull off long hair. Hardly any of them, however, can pull of the shorter hair look (imo).
