The Great "Third Party Band/Strap" Thread

Does anybody know of a good source for quality nylon bands that are a bit long than the apple bands? I picked one up this week and it's probably a good half inch short. Not a big deal when I'm wearing but putting it on is a chore and that makes me not want to use it. Also maybe a bit thinner material wouldn't be a bad thing. The apple band seems like a quality piece but it's so stiff.

Plastic? You mean like actual hard plastic? No way. Mine may not be the best quality softest leather but it’s definitely not plastic.

Looks and feels like leather. Maybe I’m misunderstanding you. Do you mean some sort of synthetic leather like material? That I have no way of verifying.

I didn’t actually smell the thing but to me it looks and feels like leather. Ill check again.

Quality varies among different vendors (they call them stores on AliExpress) I’ve been having great luck with urvoi. Who did you order from?

I’m tempted to order anyway just for research and review. I’ve got 15 bucks credit with the urvoi shop may as well use it. Will report back here when they arrive.

I got one of the Carterjett NATO bands from Amazon. My wrists may be smaller then some but the end of the band ends up all the way over to the other side of the watch when I am wearing it so it is pretty long on me.

I’ve got an urvoi Milanese in the way and a link bracelet from another store. Both my leather loops are here. We should compare and post pics to help others decide which brand to order. Supposedly it’s hit or miss but I haven’t been disappointed yet. Only thing is I have no access to original Apple bands where I am so I have nothing to compare them to.

Also ordered a rip-off Hermès rallye in black and an orange double tour. Those are just for fun though I know they won’t compare in quality. Was curious and had some store credit. Urvoi now has the orange Hermes sport band copy as well. Might have to get that not to pretend I own a Hermes but simply because I like orange.
Believe you’re in Australia If I remember right from the other thread. 10 days tops and that’s pushing it. I got mine in two weeks shipped to a hotel in India and this was after going through mandatory customs here. Enjoy!

Yup it was about 45 USD ~ 55 CAD. Weird though I noticed after I purchased it that there were two stores - one called urvoi official store and one just called urvoi store. The official store one didn’t have the newest generation link bracelet I don’t think so I got it from urvoi store. I wonder if it’s the same seller?

Urvoi official knocks off apple. The new urvoi knocks off the knockoff? Haha. This is a 4th party band now.

I dropped a note to (I guess) the unofficial urvoi to see if they’re the same. At this point I don’t remember where my leather band came from. Looks like the unofficial urvoi. Doesn’t matter anyway whatever they’re called. I go with the reviews and pics. 45 is probably made bettter than the other one. And this is the store that has the Milanese loops and Hermes replicas I ordered for fun. Let’s see how they are when they arrive and compare notes.

If you don’t have many apple bands I would choose apple 100% of the time. For people like me who have had a watch since day one and already have every apple band they would ever wear, have moved on to high quality alternatives...

And it's a totally different look and style - I think they look awesome - The olive is my favorite

FWIW I received a reply from a Lin Lyndon at the 'Urvoi Store' and he says both stores are the same. I say pick the one you like and go with that. My other red/brown leather cuff came from this URVOI guy and it was as described..

I’ve set my expectations very low on the Hermes. It was free with my store credit so I went for it. Just for fun really and to see which one I like if I DO eventually get s Hermes. Ended up getting 3 of them. Orange sports, orange double tour and the rallye. Who knows? Might be decent enough to wear. So far that store hasn’t disappointed me

Got in two sports bands from Urvoi this week. Just under two weeks. Must say I’m impressed. The material feels softer than the original. And I am so pleased with the colors.

I did notice that sometimes the band wouldn’t quite click, you could then move the band right through from one side to the other. But if it does click it’s not letting go. Been wearing both bands for a full day and it took a little getting used to (just like the watch with original bands when I bought it a few weeks ago) but they’re quite comfortable. I got the medium size, at first I thought I should have gone small but this is a bit more flexible, I can make it quite loose if I need to which with the smaller band I can’t do.

Just ran across the URVOI Crazy Horse Leather strap. Love the look of the dark brown in the pics. I ordered one I hope it's as good as the pics.

I received the band today. The pics are NOT close to accurate for this strap. It is very dark (almost black) and very smooth, not like the distressed leather in the pics. The box it cam in says it's an Icarer strap.Too bad because the strap in the pics looked very nice.

I have to say that after a couple hours of wearing I'm really starting to like it. It's VERY soft and very comfortable.

Strange. Usually pics are dead on. Send them a note sometimes the wrong band gets sent out and they will send you a free replacement. Or refund. Or exchange. Usually very good with customer care.
