Well after 2 weeks I returned my Nokia 920. In that time I had issues with Handsfree calling not working, Various freezes, and issues with brightness control, dimming of the display. Now rebooting the phone usually fixed these issues, but who wants to deal with always doing that. And from reading various forums these are issues are happenning to others. I just feel that Windows 8, while nine, is not ready for primetime.

After debating a Samsung Galaxy III I went back to an Iphone, with a Iphone 5 32gb. I wanted to get back to a phone that just works. I had a 4s, and the 5 works as well. It just reinforces my feelings on IOS, sure it may be getting stale, but its solid. And after the newness of Live tiles, or Live wallpaper wears off, its the apps and their solidness, along with the OS that really matters.

I wanted to play with Windows Fone, but stalled at the gate!

it cannot do manual IP settings - oh dear /fail

not setting up a DHCP server just for the M$ fone (I manage everything manually).

never mind - the interface looked interesting tho

Is that really long enough to judge a platform? My Dad was asking me how to do things on an iPhone for weeks after I gave him one, now he's familiar with it he loves it.

Mine lasted two weeks as well. I bought mine second-hand and quickly realized it just wasn't mature enough to carry what I needed to throw at it.

Luckily, I've got my S3 and iPhone 5 to fall back on, so I sold the 920 for what I paid for it. For a free experiment, I was ok with that.

did'nt want to get stuck with the phone after the 2 week return period. I did'nt even get into what a cludge it was trying to get music and video on the phone on a mac. The Window phone connector software is not great

It is if you go into something with a preconceived notion and want to say you've "tried it" to back up your original ideas.

I did a two week trial and returned it, then about two months later I went back and I'm glad I did. I don't know if there are just some dud units out there, but I am not experiencing any issues with my 920 this time, though I did the first time. My battery life is great and the app selection is beefing up. Don't get me wrong, there are some things I hate about WP8, but in general I am enjoying it much more than iOS (still have my iPad for that though).

I'll probably end up with an Android this year, but I'm going to keep my 920 as a backup because I really do like it. I am not a huge fan of android but there are some things about it that you just can't get elsewhere for now.
