I'm planning to head out there around 3am. Last year it wasn't horrible, I got there at 5:30am and was out in less then a hour. I expect many more ppl this year, but it still wont be that bad, I don't think.

Most of the areas that are packed are because they have one apple store in a 100 mile radius. Where here in LA, we have one in every mall. :) I wouldnt be too worried if i was you guys. Especially if you have a reservation.

Reserved at the Glendale galleria. Have a feeling it's going to be much worse than the grove.

even after the press release apple employees at The Grove still wouldn't confirm nor deny that there would be no white iphones on launch day.... i dont get it....

No way!? Why?? Im trying to preorder right now but its not letting me....

AT&T order came through and was delivered today. I went on AT&Ts website to order after one then rep from the grove store told me "I wasn't guarantee a phone even with the reservation"

Ya I have no doubt the rep gave me the wrong info, but I didnt want to take a chance or having to go stand in the line at 5am

I'm gonna head over there in a little while...
I don't think there will be too much of a line, though!

Position staked.

The "confirmed reservation" line is about 65 people. The walk-up no reservation line is well over 200 ppl now, snaking around Banana Republic and down 3rd street.

Thanks for the updates, guys.

It's worth the wait. Great phone...even the speakers seem to be improved.

Hope you're in and out fast.

I got here 4am I am #80 on the reserve line. It is now 6:03 and the reserve line has wrapped around the building and on to the sidewalk across the street. So there's atleast 250+ people in the reserve line. The walk-INS is twice as long. The apple reps have said that you will get a phone as ling as you have a reserve, and if you want to buy an extra one you have to go to the walk in line after you get your reserved iPhone. GL to everyone that is looking to walk-in!

That's pretty funny. I'm about number 60 in the reserve line, got here a little before 4am. Yeah, the reserve line is getting pretty big, but the unreserved line is supposedly pushing 500+ people. Holy crap!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9530/5.0.0.328 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Behind the velvet rope now 12 min to go!

Just an FYI for people going to The Grove for the iPhone 4...

The Grove offers free all-day parking if you purchase $200+ in merchandice from The Grove. You can get a free parking ticket if you bring your receipt to the concierge booth by the main parking escalators.

Now you know, and knowing if half the battle!

PS, I just got home from The Grove and the IP4 is incredible!

I got in and out in like 10 minutes, walked home (live on the Miracle Mile), and was asleep by 8!

Line for non-reserve was all the way around the Grove, back to Nordstrom...
Maybe 700?
