Just an FYI for people going to The Grove for the iPhone 4...

The Grove offers free all-day parking if you purchase $200+ in merchandice from The Grove. You can get a free parking ticket if you bring your receipt to the concierge booth by the main parking escalators.

Now you know, and knowing if half the battle!

PS, I just got home from The Grove and the IP4 is incredible!

I've had mine for more than 24 hours, and still can't put it down. You are right..Enjoy...

BTW, some of the "geniuses" at the Apple Store at the Grove are anything BUT geniuses...For any kind of genius appointment, I would choose the one at Century City. There is one short jerk at the Grove who, when I had some 3G problems, was so awful, I had to go to Corporate. I was treated much better at Century City....they replaced the 3G, no questions...

Holy hell. I got there at 7am with a reservation and there must have been at least 700 people in the reserve line.

5 1/2 hours later, I walked out of the store with my iPhone. And there were still about two hundred or more behind me.

This was just the reserves.

As far as going there at 9 last night, and no one being there. It would probably have a lot to do with that the grove closes down at night and no one is allowed to be there at night. Don't take my word for it though, I believe the same would go for the Beverly center.

As far as the line goes, I can believe it. 5 1/2 hours waiting though. That's insane!! Shouldve just gone in at a later time

Any word if they have bumpers left? I just swung by the one by work and they were sold out cold. They also said I would have had to wait in line to get one anyway, so that sucks.

Good to know...My bumper is on its way from China...ordered from Apple on 6/15...but I would rather buy one now, and then return the one that comes in a few days...

I'm not willing to wait in line to buy it, though...and definitely not interested in driving from store to store. If I WERE to go anywhere, I would check out the Apple Store down in Manhattan Beach, but it's not worth a trip if they are going to make folks stand in line...or, obviously, if they are out...

Thanks for posting, ringemaster. I'll be interested to hear if anybody else was able to find bumpers without too much trouble. In the interim, I have my cheap Meritline bumper (which I forgot I ordered). It will do in a pinch.

You're right, The Grove was closed until 4am so all those waiting had to do it out on the street.

As for going later, wouldn't matter. I have a friend who got in the back of the reserved line when I was leaving and he was told it was still a 5 hour wait.
