I use bluetooth headphone and speakers.

I also have a bluetooth receiver for my wired seinhisser headphones.

although have wired headphones on the imac.

What are you good Bluetooth earbuds? Do they have decent sound quality? What about audio delay with video and call quality. I'm looking for a decent pair but haven't found any that meet all my needs yet.
Started with the bluebudx jaybirds had those for a few years. really good sound quality. I tried bluetooth 5 years ago and it was horrible. lots of cutting out and crap for sound. These sound really good.
I had the jaybird x2's for a year and they where really really good. call quality wasn't the best but i use them behind my neck i don't take calls on them really.
I have the jaybird freedoms (2016) now and they sound amazing and are comfortable and small.
I have a backup klipsch s4i and klipsch one over ear headphones that are collecting dust. I use them when my earbuds are about to die.

Uh, I use the bundled EarPods for listening on the go, in the car, at work, or sometimes around the home. I also use "snobby" headphones when I'm at home sometimes.

I'd be annoyed to see it go, but as long as there's an adaptor, I'll live.

I use the headphone jack on my iPhone to play live tracks with my band, it relies on the stereo output because I have a click panned to the left and then the live track panned to the right channel which goes out to the PA. Not sure if I will have that same capability with the new jack.

I have the Jaybird X2's and I use them with my iPad for watching movies. I also have the Freedoms and love the sound quality of music and the small form factor. But they are poor with phone call quality and even worse for watching movies. I actually returned them, thinking I had a defective pair but the replacement pair is no better. My plug ins are Shure 535 IEM and they are my favorite all around earbuds - super comfortable and sound quality is fantastic.

I'm really hoping next year's update of the Freedoms will eliminate all the issues and they will be the best wireless out there.

You calibrate the sound with the app right? I haven't used them for movies but for music i think they sound better than the x's i had (not out of the box but after i adjusted them).

I use my apple headphones rarely. I don't listen to music enough to warrant getting wireless headphones.

I do revert to Apples headphones for making calls while I'm working when the battery dies in my Samsung Level U's. I need both hands and I'm on on the phone 4-6 hours a day.

It's fairly rare but does happen. Apples headphones work fairly well for phone calls. Sound quality is better for phone calls than both my Jaybirds and Level U's (Bluetooth) but the wire is an inconvenience.

Yes used the app. I agree the sound quality is super good for music and listening to pod casts. I think the sound quality is more precise and tight than the X2's. I was hoping that I could just use these as my one and only wireless set. But due to the audio delay with videos, I've also be holding on to the X2's. I hopeful that they'll get the delay fixed for next year's model. I like how tiny they are and they stay put in my ears without the wings.

Ahh never noticed the delay with watching videos. ill pay more attention next time. the x3's are coming out soon I'm curious how much better they will sound being they are larger than the freedoms.

I chose the first box, using the ear pods, because that is the one thing I use that jack for almost exclusively.

While in the car, I use bluetooth. When working out, I use bluetooth. If I'm at home and want to play music/videos from my phone through the huge entertainment system, I use AirPlay. When I'm sitting at my computer and want to listen to music, I use the computer for that, rarely my phone. Heck, when I'm at my computer and need to make/receive phone calls, I do those through the computer as well.

Losing the headphone jack is a non-issue for me provided the new ear pods they provide are comfy.

You missed the option of I use the cheapest headphones I can find once the Apple ones die on me.

just FYI AppleCare covers the Apple earpods. Apple replaced mine after 1.5 years because the right ear had static in it.

I'm in the same boat. I use the earpods for conference calls with customers but wireless for listening to music at my desk.

Yikes. What do you do to them?

The only time I've had Apple's ear pods go south on me was if they went through the laundry. Even then, the first time that happened, the ear pods still worked perfectly: phone calls, music, volume up/down, pause, etc, all worked flawlessly ... though I still ended up replacing them because the cord has become all curly-cue like and it was annoying. I wasn't so lucky the second time I had a set of ear pods go through the wash, hehe.

I know, and I have had a couple replaced. It's easier now that I live 5 minutes from an Apple Store. But if I'm traveling or when I used to live farther away it wasn't worth it. Especially since I can't hear any difference between $5 and $100 headphones.

I just use them normally. Most headphones seem to last 6 months to a year, he Apple ones are usually on the longer end of that range.

Whenever I'm listening to music from the iPhone I'm either doing it in the car (BlueTooth) or via Airplay. I do use the headphone socket with the Apple supplied ear buds for phone calls quite a lot though. I'd be happily using something like the Plantronics Backbeat Fit Bluetooth headset instead.

The only thing I might actually miss if the headphone socket goes is the camera remote release cable, for which I had been using the Apple ear buds quite a bit. But, come to think of it, the Apple Watch does an even better job at that.
