You have a 3G nano, not 2G.

i thought that the new headphones would come as standard with the volume control
seems that isnt the case 🙁

Those colors are really intense. Yeah, I was expecting those headphones aswell, let down. Anyone have an iPhone headset to see if it works?


I got a silver/black 8gb one, engraved. Ships today, ordered yesterday morning. Says delivered by the 16th, any chance of me getting it sooner? 🙂
 
I just called the best buy store out here. They said they won't be recieving any for another week.. then again how accurate are the with this stuff i dont know.
 
So jealous! I went to my local Circuit City and Best Buy today. Circuit City didn't have anything other than shuffles, and they were last gen's muted colors. Best Buy said they were so supposed to get a shipment today, so most likely, they'll have some tomorrow. I really want the silver/black 8GB one!

Side note- anyone with purple? If so is it more like blue? From iLounge's pics it looks rather blue.

I'm interested in buying a new nano 4g but I can't decide what color to get! I'm stuck with blue, green, black, and maybe orange after seeing zebbz photo. What colors are you guys getting?
 
I picked up an 8GB Orange at the Apple Store this morning. Already having buyer's remorse - I think I should have held out a couple days and gotten the 16GB.

The colors are very vibrant in person. The yellow is more gold than I expected. The purple is certainly purple. Black and silver look good, but those colors match my classics.
 
I'm thinking of going to buy one today. Do you think they'll have it at the apple store at the mall? And orange, yellow, or green?

i'm so jealous. The 8GB one is more expensive then the 16 GB one in the states. I had to pay 210 $ for the 8GB one over here

I think the Silver with the Black Wheel is the best looking Nano, If I buy one thats the one I want.
 
Picked up my 8GB silver one from the Apple store last night. They weren't even out on the floor yet. Also, the company I work for gets me a discount at the store...
 
Nanos are at most apple stores but only the 8GB

After seeing them in person, the black, gunmetal, blue and orange looks the best to me

the purple does not look blue'ish at all like it does in the iLounge pics

I'm still deciding between black, blue and gunmetal 😡

16GB should be in by this weekend or the following days according one of the employees
 
No interest whatsoever. I have a Black 2G 8GB Nano that still looks brand new and works great, and a 3G iPhone. I have no use for a video Nano nor do I see the point of watching anything on something that small. They do look better than the 3G fatty model, though. But if anything I might pick up a shuffle and a pair of monster freeplay headphones at some point. Cut the cord.
 
I wish I could find a reason to buy a new iPod nano, but with an iPhone 3G 16GB and second and third generation 8GB nanos, I just can't.
Also, for the first ever time, the silver iPod would be the one I would buy. If only Apple made the 120GB classic in silver, but with a black wheel, I would definitely buy one.

He/she meant that the 8GB nano costs more in Germany than the 16GB version does in America.
 
Picked up a silver 8GB at the local apple store today. I went in intending to get an orange one, but after seeing the one they had on display I decided against it. The color just didn't look right, maybe it was the lights. I'm quite happy with the silver though, love the black clickwheel!

For those of us who want to use it in bed but don't like coverflow, you can't turn it off like on the Touch. However, you have to tilt it much further to activate coverflow, so it can easily be used while lying on your side.

Also, if you've seen these on display at the apple store, did they have the silver and black ones out too? My local store was only displaying the bright colors for some reason, even though they had plenty of silver and black ones in stock.
 
That orange looks amazing. Maybe I want the orange. Or the yellow. Or the green. Or all the colours.

the iphone 3G's headphone works with the new nano!! one click to pause, double click to skip next. I got a purple one free oh yeah i love my professor!!
also i was under the idea that the nano would come with a volume control headphone, but no... and i checked on apple's website, they are selling them at the same price as a standard headset.
