It's jaw dropping what a little powerhouse this thing is. Couldn't resist adding the 8GB RAM and bumping the SSD to 1TB to the basic box and having it all in one unit - and while Apple does get raspberries for what they charge, you gotta admit that having that extra all in one box is pretty slick.

.....and since it doesn't have that HDMI bug that plagued the last Intel version it's even more upgrade for me than would ordinarily be the case.

Couldn't resist, been "agonizing" over this for a month plus now.
Really want a Studio M4 Max, or Ultra.
Can't wait that long, need something to work with now, old Frankenstein PC has finally died.
Instead of building another monstrous PC, I decided to change evils, and go with Mac.
Tired of the eternal windoze fight.

I've been pretty happy with my M4 Pro with the same options. Only time I heard the fan was with a MacPorts install where a massive compile used most, if not all, of the P cores.

Sent my M4mini-pro/14c back !
ordered a M4Mini base....allready in use......as a inbetween machine aslong i´m waiting. Plus will become my 2nd machine later. Waiting now for the M4 studio Max to come.

i din´t liked the heat situation with my M4pro.
The studio Max should be the better construct for sustained high loads. (audio work)

Ordered a Mac mini M4 16GB/512Gb for my dad. Estimated shipping 3rd Feb from a reseller I got a percentage discount and free shipping from.

I'm his primary end user support, and I got fed up trying to support him on a MacBook Air 2015(or 2017?) stuck on Mac OS 12 Monterey, while using it as a desktop.
