Just saying iLife never has any keys or anythign either! So really you know you are entitles to it free! So take the ipod now and acquire it later!I'm thinking it's a "free 8 GB iPod touch" vs iLife '11 scenario, assuming it is unveiled with the new iPods on September 7th.
I'll take the iPod, as I plan on selling it to finance the i7 upgrade
Totally agree. I have the cash waiting in my savings but don't see the point in buying a desktop machine til they update iLife and iWork (it has '09' in the name, so it cries out to be updated).
Sounds pretty useless to me. What would LGA 2011 be then? PCWatch is the only source that has mentioned it and that was ages ago. Reports I've read suggest LGA 1155 for mainstream (maximum of 4 cores) and LGA 2011 for high-end & server market (+4 cores)LGA 1356 appears to be for a single QPI link, single socket replacement for LGA 1366 (Socket B).
I haven't heard anything more about it in a long time.
