What is being talked about now, is why I make a point to put " Your experience may be different from mine" in the reviews. Ads can be locally based, websites can change layout and ad service implementation, along with other variables.
Find a content blocker that works well for your daily use. And if you see broken websites with Purify, Crystal, Blockr, Adblock Fast, Admop, 1Blocker and the like, report them so that the developer can get it fixed. If after a reasonable amount of time has gone by and the sites are still broken, look to another app to meet your needs.
Looking for the content blocker that blocks every site you go on at any given time is an exercise in futility, in my opinion.
