This time I’ll be going from Black Titanium 15 Pro Max to regular 16 in blue.

Love the blue color and excited to go back to a small light phone, tired of carrying this giant phone with me.

I would buy a 5.5" 16 Plus with Home Button and Touch ID for the same price to replace my 8 Plus. They can also call it SE Plus and release it a few months later, a headphone jack would also be nice new feature.

But I fear the small SE from 2022 will be my last iPhone.

I am really not paranoid but I don't want anyone to scan my face permanently and especially don't want any kind of rays sent directly to my eyes.

They could also put TouchID on a side button like some iPads have. I think I am able to learn using it without a Home Button. 😉

i have thought about these kinds of questions somewhat these days, in light of AI is being built into iOS.
but as far as we know, there has never been a case where either Touch ID or Face ID biometric data has ever been able to used by rogue apps and/or sent out of the iPhone to anywhere.
in terms of the constant arrays scanning the face, i haven't seen any data anywhere to say its unhealthy.
i share your hesitation, as a user of the iPhone SE, i like Touch ID. as well on my Macbook Air.

but im looking forward to the new iPhone SE rumoured new model with Face ID in spring 2025.

Looks like a big drop for the 16 Plus. Disappointing if true.

Me thinks the 15 Plus’ battery was probably too good and stole sales from the 15 Pro Max.
So the 16 Plus’ battery was gimped.

This must be a typo, the base 16 can’t have a bigger battery than the 16 pro that is going to be a bigger phone.

It doesn't seem like a worthwhile upgrade, but I guess they'll reserve that for the software stuff they'll give it over the old version. Probably going to keep my 15 for a few years till then
