This is my personal favorite iPhone mockup ever. Considering the time it was made, it was so good but so wrong.

Actually, that's not bad. I would have loved that back in 2005 or 2006. I really thought those slider phones were cool back then.

----------

My brother sent me that link the other day in an email. It's truly stunning and makes me sad that iPhone 6 likely won't be exactly like that. Because it should be. Apple should buy that concept and use the hell out of it. It's epically brilliant. I'm sure Apple will come up with something beautiful as they always do, but that concept is really neat.

Makes you wonder why the guy who created this, doesn't work for Apple. This is an absolutely beautiful design.

Also the phone would struggle isolating touch events from around the screen has you try to hold it. The guy in the photo would probably be triggering events at both the lower left and lower right of that screen. We already heard enough about how people hold their iPhones a couple of years ago, we don't need to hear it all again.

Lmfao exactly. Most poorly thought out concept ever.

This is just my opinion and nothing else but my opinion.

I think Apple should buy HTC, take the HTC One, load iOS 7 on it, slap an Apple logo on the back and call it the iPhone 6.

They'd have to clean it up first. It's a bit messy in parts, if you look closely at the head phone Jack for example.

That's a older mock up. And all it is a 5 with the screen stretched in PS. It's terrible, actually, and rather possible to do at this point. U have to have some kind of bezel. U can just run the display to the edge. And not only that, could u imagine how many broken screens there would be? No bezel-less iPhones in the near future.

I hope it looks like this. For as I have always wanted a full fledged camera in my pocket taped to my cellphone.

Considering the number of OCD threads since the release of iPhone 2, that would be a big no. MR will be flooded with "OMG I dropped my phone I scratched the aluminium back cover what naoooo".

What do you think the black/silver part of the iPhone 5 is?

And what others have been saying, the iPhone 5 is already an aluminum unibody....

You know MR was flooded by scuffgate threads then "black iphone 5 scratch out of the box, I'll return" blah blah right.

I know. Not really dismissing your point( though getting a damaged phone out of the box is unacceptable). Just saying the back is already aluminum.

Noticed a lot of iPhone owners don't treat their phones too good, especially women and their throwing it in the handbag routine. *Shudder*

I don't think the problem is women and handbags. My iPhone 5 is in perfectly good condition, and it's usually in my purse or jacket pocket when I'm out and about. The problem is teenagers putting them in their back pockets and sitting on them.

Bordlerless is the way to go. Love the look of that.

Might pose risks where people knock their phones though, wonder whether it is structurally sound.

No no no no. With current technology, border less is NOT the way to go. If they somehow put all the LCD circuitry at the back, there is still a problem with touch responsiveness. When you are close the the edge, responsiveness becomes exponentially lower. To solve this, manufacturers put a tiny bit of touch sensors in the bezel. That solves the issue.

Why do you think Samsung pulled off an almost border less TV screen, but not a phone one?

I did no to now that. What is wrong with the headphone jack?

It's barely worth mentioning, but I just meant that after having iPhones I was surprised at the quality of the head phone jack and connecter parts. It's a gorgeous phone but close up there's little things they could have perfected to make it full iphone quality. Saying that I bought an HTC One because I was annoyed about how easily scuffed my iphone 5 got quickly!!

You are the exception to the rule.

If you go out for a walk about right now, look at chicks on their phones and then look where they end up.

Dropped straight into that good old handbag. lol

As for teenagers, they are worse. They don't care either way because more often than not, they are not paying for them.

Now I'm sad.
