Hypothetical situation...

Let's say Apple announces iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with:
A10 Processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB Base Storage & single camera for $650/750

But then also announced a "7 Pro" with sapphire glass 6.5" screen, dual camera and 4GB of Ram starting at $850...

Which would you get? Would you buy a "bigger phone" to get the higher specs?

No chance. I'm at my limit of price owning a 6S Plus 64GB as it is.

I get 20% discount through my carrier which still amounts to £1200 over two years.

The current 6S+ with 5.5 screen is hard to carry let alone 6.5 .
Anyway i would definitely go for the 7Pro

I love big phones, but I think 6.5 inches is a bit too much. At that point there wouldn't be any reason to get it over a tablet.

6.5" for a phone? I hope Apple will never be crazy enough to make something like that. I can't imagine clothing with pockets that deep so you could carry the phone.

Only if it had 256GB storage capacity.
And if the non-Pro 7 offered 256GB, then I would not go for the Pro.

No way would I get a larger phone that's bigger than 4.7" regardless of what it has.

I currently have a 6, and have already decided to switch to the 'S' version as I have been doing more on my phone that I use to do on my iPad. I think 6.5" is too big. I can't believe Apple cannot make a Pro version that isn't closer to the 'S' size iPhone today. I'd rather have one that is a smidge thicker if it meant I could have some tasty features.

I generally upgrade every two years, but I'm skipping the 7 and waiting to see what they come up with for 2018. Personally, I think they have hit a bit of a plateau and need to kick it up a notch before I upgrade to anything, Pro or not.

No way would they make a 6.5" phone anytime soon. Android phones have been shrinking in size actually over the past year or so. The LG G4 to G5 went from 5.5" to 5.3", the S6 Edge+ to S7 Edge went from 5.7" to 5.5", the nexus 6 to 6P went from 5.9" to 5.7", and so on.

My opinion: 6.5" is way too large for a phone, and 4GB is overkill for me. I would not be interested in this "iPhone Pro".

They put 2gb of ram in the new iPad Pro so why would they put 4gb in a phone?

Please note I did use the word "Hypothetical." This post wasn't about IF Apple would do it... it's more about "what would you do if it happened?"... When the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus came out... some people on here were mad that they have to get "a big iPhone" to get the best camera (OIS). Then with the 6S series, people were going nuts about TSMC/Samsung chips and swapping phones out like a crazy person... "just to have the best." I am just seeing what people would do if there was a huge phone that has much better specs, would they deal with the size to get "the best spec'd iPhone."

Yes your majesty. I didn't realize this post was having such a huge impact on your life. It is not as if you are being forced to participate in this thread.
