So there has been a lot of discussion about the next iPhone being called the 4 or HD or 4G or whatever.

Does anyone else think that it may be called something else entirely... Like X or XL.

Thoughts?

iPhone X doesn't sound very Apple-like IMO... I'm leaning towards iPhone 4 or HD. :)

I'd hate for Apple to use 'HD' in the name. Not only is it cliché, but not an accurate description. I'm thinking iPhone A4/ iPhone 3GP (s was for speed, p is for power) / or just iPhone.

Well, it would be very un-Apple-like, but Apple has not been Apple-like so maybe iPhone 3GS-HD

I'm still hoping for iPod mobile, because it seems to me the iPod brand will die off eventually if they don't incorporate it into the nomenclature of a product that will survive convergence-dom.

its a toss up between iPhone HD or iPhone 4G but i think since it will belive to think that the new iPhone will be "4G" capable i think 90% positve that it will be iPhone HD.

It IS called OS Ten...

Agreed. "Oh-ess ten" has always been the correct, and official Apple, pronunciation.

Pronouncing the "X" phonetically makes it sound a little obscene, like "Oh-ess-sex" or something. Not what Apple wants!
