I was looking at the iPhone X at Best Buy. When true tone is on it seemed at though the top was more orange or darker tint than bottom.

My iPhone 8 has something similar when TT is on.

Why is this

I have that on my iPhone 8. I had exchanged it out a couple times but no luck.

Does it bother u?

Not one bit. I bought 6 different iPhone 7s with uneven displays. This is the most even screen I've seen in over a year. Doesnt bother me one bit. If it doesnt have any dead pixels, or really apparent unevenness, then keep it man.

And my uneveness is so slight that I cant even tell unless I really focus on it. And it vanishes with truetone off.

Because the X has an OLED display. My own is perfect but I’ve had screen tints on most of my previous OLED phones. This one being so expensive, I’d get it exchanged

It’s on my 8 too. Idk I guess it’s not a big deal bc most people don’t seem to care

It’s not a big deal to you because no one else cares?

What an amazingly backwards time we live in.

What I’m saying is pretty much no one who has this problem seems to care about it.

I’ve tried several iPhones and they all had it from what I could see.

It’s only on True Tone. Otherwise my display is even.

So whatever I guess.
