What do you think a bunch of people scattered all over the country (or indeed the world) are going to be able to do for you? The Taco Bell down the road from me is hiring. It's a 3000 mile commute, though...best of luck.
 
ive been out and looking for 2 weeks. and all u gotta do is find places shops stores, food palces, or anything that will hire a 14 year old to work then ill find out if that place happens to be avaliable near me

Lawns, Yards, Gardens, Pools, etc. If you STILL cannot find anything go to your town hall and see if in the Youth Services Dept. they have a Youth Employment system where old people hire kids to do work. If that doesn't find a volunteer job. It takes up time, prepares you for a real job, looks good on your business resume for when you turn 16 and look for a paying job PLUS colleges like to see it on your resume when you apply to schools PLUS it can get you local scholarships for college.
 
Rake leaves, pull weeds, clean out garages, wash cars, etc. Basically go door-to-door in your neighborhood and offer to do chores for people. That's how we did it when I was a kid. It didn't take too long before I had regular customers and a steady income. Of course, you have to do good work or you won't get hired again.
 
Paper routes used to be good too, if you could get a large route or more than one.

Here's a list of the largest law firms in Los Angeles. Surely one of them would be interested in someone with your intellectual capabilities.

haha, why don't you use that wild imagination of yours to embellish your resume? :rolleyes:

christ go work at McDonald's or some other job that doesn't require you to think, because obviously thinking is not your strong suit.
 
Our local newsagent has a sign up saying they're looking for a paperboy - mind you, we'd be talking at least a nine-hour trip each way so that probably rules that one out.

Ask around local businesses, look in shop windows to see if they're advertising, ask your friends who have jobs if there's anything going at the places where they work. Worst case scenario, if you can't find anything going - print out some flyers offering your services cleaning pools and doing gardens and the like, and post them through your neighbours letterboxes.
 
actually thinking is my strong suit im a 4.0 gpa student have been since 5th grade. And i cant work at mc doanlds the california law states no fast food places until 16. I dont know where my town hall is i live near sacramento.

this isnt red neck country no offense we dont have ltter boxes we have mail boxes that are tin and u need a key to get into lol im now sticking a m80 in the mail box to blow the other doors open .

Then put flyers under your neighbour's windscreen wipers offering to wash their cars, or something like that. I'm sure if you're ingenious enough to come up with such a novel way of getting into mail boxes, then you'll think of something...

i didn't know they graded 5th graders like that...and since ure so smart wouldn't u have a higher gpa, since your in more advanced classes?

when you said "I'm a 25 year old harvard law student" you actually meant "I'm a 14 year old who lies for attention"

so "I have a 4.0 gpa" must mean "I'm in the remedial classes and have been since grade 1"


FYI, Employers like people who tell the truth.

Well, if you do have a 4.0 gpa you should have the common sense and intellectual ability to realize "hey, maybe I should ask my mom, or look in the phonebook".


What do letterboxes & mail boxes have to do with rednecks. If I am correct many small businesses and many suburban houses use letterboxes.

And I would be willing to bet mailboxes are made out of aluminum and not tin. ;)
