Had a thread going on the MacBook Air forum, but I'm finding these issues to be common in OS X in general. A daily occurrence on my 2014 iMac at home, and my 2014 MacMini at work. Hope the new Apple iCar doesn't have the same problems!

Unfortunately not. Last Macs to be downgradable were rMBPs released in July 2014.
