The "Keeping your computer perfectly clean" mentality - good or bad?

I wipe down my laptop when I begin to notice the dust, and ermm... 2 grease patches where my wrists sit.... 😱

The screen never gets touched, ever. I reserve permission to inflict harm on who touches mine. Same with my TV etc.
 
I clean every new item I get at least a couple times a day. After a few weeks the novelty wears off and I clean when its noticeable. 😎
