Anybody else have this ordered? I was going to get the digital download but I hear that's 26GB and I'm not sure I have that much space free. I was going to get a bigger hard drive but abstained since the new consoles are out this year...

I hear this review is spoiler free but I haven't watched it because I already bought it anyway...

 
I'll probably buy it after I come back from vacation. These exclusive titles right here are why I always pick playstation over xbox though.
 
Wasn't interested in it. Saw the perfect reviews everywhere. Preorder is down!

I was going to wait too. But I've enjoyed all the Uncharted games and I don't really have anything else I'm itching to play at the moment, so figured I may as well before all the meme's and spoilers and what-not come out.
 
This game looks amazing, can't wait to get it. I never played the Uncharted series from the same developer (Naughty Dog) but this one really caught my eye.
 
This game has been in my sights since it was announced. I was worried it was going to be more in line with Uncharted as in kill each and every thing but I'm happy you can play most of the game stealthy. Exploration and story is the biggest draw for me even the multiplayer sounds great.

I was really psyched for the game, but after playing the demo from god of war ascension I was left a bit underwhelmed mostly by the combat and how actually ridged it is and a case of trial and error mostly...


Still getting it, but not as psyched as I was. More looking forward to Animal Crossing now.

Just playing remember me and enjoying it too.

I felt the same way, I cancelled my pre order and I'll grab it once they lower the price. Games seem to get a price reduction pretty fast nowadays, at least on Amazon they do.

Edit: Amazon is offering a credit with the preorder so I went ahead and got it...

Received mine today, going to wait til tomorrow to crack on with it though. Can't wait, my expectations are incredibly high, and I have no doubt they will be met.
 
Ooh yeah, pre-install done, just clearing up the disk space now!

Got the soundtrack free, which is now on the PS3. Any way to get this into iTunes?

I'M EXCITED!! :D Kina wish I hadn't said I'll go to the pub after work tomorrow, and work Saturday :(
 
Dang. This game looks like something else! I just wish that I had enough time, because I have been so busy that my PS3 is just collecting dust right now :p Hopefully I will have some time to play it soon.
 
Got it today. Might play it later, in too much pain at moment (severe kidney infection).... :(




Edit.. Played first 90 minutes. OMG the opening of this game is simply astonishing. It makes me drool over what Naughty Dog have up their sleeve when they have a 5x better GPU, 16x more ram etc...

I just can't believe this game is on a current gen system. Well, apart from some very low res textures in parts and the 18 years load-time!

Love this so far. I've got to redo parts because of a save glitch, but that won't be a problem!

Yeah load time at start was shocking. But yeah if this is the final salute for the PS3 big titles, its certainly a good one to go out on....

It's all about Beyond! And The Last Of Us. Great final year for the console :)
 
Best characterisation of its central characters in a game ever...

And props to Naughty Dog for having a gay NPC without any of the stereotypes...

Great game (at its greatest when not in combat)....

Get the hard drive anyway. Since the PS4 isn't going to be backwards compatable, you will still need it. Also since the PS3 drives are just regular sata drives, you can repurpose the drive in there now.

I always buy the disc since I don't like not having physical media in case of vapor ware. Plus you can't resell or lend the download versions.

I strongly suspect Last of Us will be the best game of 2013. Destiny and Ghosts may sell more copies, but they won't be as awesome as Last of Us.

Once the PS4 comes out, I'll likely be getting rid of my PS3. Most of my gaming is done on PC. For the few console games I get, downloading is fine and I usually delete them when I'm done playing them.
 
I finished the game a couple of days ago, yet I can't help myself and keep thinking about the story. Damm....
