In app SMS. REAL in app SMS...not what Apple calls in app SMS. Apps just as biteSMS are the sole reason why I jailbreak my iPhone.

Before switching to the iPhone, I had a Samsung Behold and that is probably the only thing I miss like crazy. I'm on my second iPhone now and still find myself wishing it was an option.
...oh, and the ability to delete those wretched apps (weather, stock, compass) most people don't give two f**ks about!!! THAT really irks me, since it's a minor tweak in the OS to allow for removal.

- Background task scheduler to provide for automated whispernet style downloads.
- Drop down toggle bar allowing for wifi, bluetooth etc to be turned on and off at a touch.
- A much, much better notification system.
- YouTube app to be able to search by most recent.
- A file manager, even if it only allows access to one pan device documents folder.
- Upload buttons to work in Safari, giving access to the documents folder above.
- A proper bluetooth stack implementation with all features.
- Custom SMS tones (come on, this is getting silly now)
- Safari password autocomplete to require Android style security gestures, with an Opera desktop style selector when you have multiple logons.
- Optional joypad attachment support.
- One touch access to the EQ settings in the iPod app.
- Contacts to support social media details & Facebook integration.
- Push notifications of app store updates.
- Rotation lock to support locking in landscape and the multitasking menu roaring the icons.
- Coverflow disabling option.
- More homescreen functionality.
- Safari address bar to be returned to it's previous (far superior) design.
- Search in page in Safari.
- Scroll to bottom of page gesture, primarily in Safari. Ever tried to load a massive page and spend five minutes frantically scrolling down because you only wanted to read the new comment at the bottom anyway?
Even if file uploads were restricted to just the photos folder it would be better than nothing.

No idea if this has been posted yet, but image what it could do with an ipad. Boardgames reinvented? (it's in french, but watch the video and you'll get the idea)

Apple didn't say they were implementing in-app SMS. They said that it's an API for developers who, say, want an app which can send a text within an app.
