The little avatar picture of me is now missing

I know longer have that avatar picture of my likeness in the app store or in Settings (APple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases). It now just is either a silhouette (app store) or my initials. Does anyone have this issue and how to get it back?

- Make sure you have a contact entry for yourself in Contacts.
- Set the picture you want for that. I recommend cropping it OUTSIDE the contacts app, then setting that already cropped picture, as the cropping done in the contacts app never stays consistent.
- In Settings -> Apple ID, set the photo there to that same photo.

iOS/Apple/iCloud uses both in different places. It's not consistent and has changed randomly for me in the past. So making sure you have a contact photo set for yourself, AND a photo set for your Apple ID in settings, ensures that it will appear everywhere.

It can take some time for the change to propagate to all your devices.

Thanks. The picture I want seems to be my memoji? It is set in my contacts for me. It actually is showing up now on the Settings page. But it isn't showing up when you tap the appleid in settings. It just shows my initials. When I tap to edit, I can get my photos but not the memoji. Not sure how to do it?
