Came back to iPhone from 12PM. Kept it for 3 years. Before that I use to keep for 2 years. I may probably keep 15PM for three or more years.

iPhone 6s Plus to Google Pixel 3a XL -> September 2015 to May 2020. 4 years, 8 months.

For me iPhone 4(2010) to 6(2014). So 4 years.
Bought my iPhone XR new in October 2018 and I'm still using it. Was tempted to finally upgrade this year to an iPhone 15, but I think I'll wait to see if the XR is dropped from iOS 18 as I suspect it might be and then update in Fall of 2024 to an iPhone 16 Pro and any new generative AI they introduce.

3GS to 6S Max.
This next spell will be a stretch. Have 14PM but not upgrading until At LEAST the 17.

I had the XR for three years before I went to the Samsung S21+? I wanted to get back into the Apple EcoSystem and got the 14+ but it was a downgrade. Glad I got the 15 Pro Max and I think this phone will go the longest before I upgrade again (Unless Vision pro just replaces everything and we turn into a Ready Player One type society).

7 to 11, so 3 years. This was tricky to calculate thanks to the bizarre naming convention when 8 and X came out together when it should have been 7s, but then we had Xs? Otherwise I've been on a 2 year cycle since my first iPhone, a 3G, so I went 3G -> 4 -> 5 -> 6 -> 7 -> 11 -> 13 mini -> 15 Pro. My ideal iPhone would be the features of my 15 Pro in the size of the 13 mini, but barring that I'm pretty happy right now!

8 to SE (2022), which was around 4.5 years. Prior to that I was replacing the phone every 3 years (4S, 6, 8).

upgraded every other year but going on to at least 3 years with my 13PM
3GS, 4S, 5S, 6S+, X, 11PM, 13PM

Kept my 8 for over 4 years, should have replaced the battery and kept it but I elected to get the SE.
