The Low Cost iPhone Rate Plan Thread

This thread seems to be going the wrong way. The plan you are on does not cost a total of $30, how much you pay personally is the the issue. The issue is the total cost of the plan, which is not $30.

Personally I think they should have a few rate plans below the current:

80 minutes: $20
3G: $30 unlimited
or
EDGE: $15 unlimited

200 minutes: $35
3G: $30 unlimited
or
EDGE: $15 unlimited

This would provide a few lower rate tiers more appropriate for usage. Ranging from $35 - $65/mon + SMS.

if you guys are willing to, you can unlock for t-mobile

the cheapest plan (no 3g speeds though)

300 minutes = $30
unlimted edge, tzones (its kinda difficult to get, but i got it) = $6

so thats $36 bucks a month to use on t-mobile, there are plenty of corporate discounts also for t-mobile

you can add a texting plan for another $5, which is 400 TXT

so thats like $41 a month before taxes, add in a corporate discount and it can be even cheaper

If you are in the US, you can get tmobile with the tzones plan. I personally have this and pay 56 with everything, and that includes the internet. The speed itself is slow, but its doable for email and for iphone optimized website. Visual voicemail does not work but I have voice mail and tell everyone to just text me. Youtube doesn't work on edge (who cares), and map works!

What i don't get is this... it works for everyone but me. I use a 3G with a 2.1 software, and aturbosim on a t-mobile prepayed plan. The "E" (EDGE) just won't show up. If i put the simcard in any other junk phone... WAP WORKS... it's extremely frustrating... any advice anyone? 😡

Yeah, this would probably work better for me too... I barely use the phone, I text quite a bit... I've got TONS of roll over...
