No, JSW, the lady friend has not caught it at all. I think she may have been the carrier. *falls over and cries under desk*

Carriers of Strepp Throat often have it themselves. A lot.

IT'S BEEN SAID ALREADY, BUT I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH how bad you need HIGH POWERED VITAMINS. This would not have even happened if you were taking HIGH POTENCY Vitamins everyday of your life!

Now there are great little pill packs loaded with everything you need.

I used to get strep every six months...VITAMINS stopped it all--its been 8 years since I have ever taken an antiboitic...I probably will never need any again as long as I stay on my regimen!

Cheap way to go about it....buy the Daily Pak MAXIMUM by Your Life. They sell them at Wal-mart (I hate Wal-mart) but I bought some there and I feel the difference from my other expensive brands!

Hope you feel better...I went through enough throat problems to last me FOREVER.

Vitamins are just pissed out if your body can't use them. A virus won't care if you've taken 1000% Vitamin C or 300% Vitamin C. You'll be at your best with 100%; the rest just goes down the toilet. Literally.

Oh, and vitamins are not a cure-all. They can actually be poisonous if used incorrectly. Vitamin A, for example, found in the livers of carnivores but in plenty of other places as well. It is deadly in too great a concentration.

Closing statement of this mini-rant is, get your needed vitamins by eating right. You'll maintain a healthier BMI too. If you can't, then take pills. But gobbling 80 pills isn't going to help you; and it may make things worse.

A round of penicillin would clear that thing up in less than a week. You might get some fever if you put off seeing the doctor for too long tho.

Unfortunately, not anymore. There is a pretty good chance that whatever Onizuka has is at least partially resistant to penicillin.

Strep (that causes strep throat) is never resistant to penicillin. They couldn't even engineer it in the lab. However, if you are allergic to penicillin then you are SOL since there is much higher (40%) resistance to erythromycin and zithromax never really worked well anyways.

Take your pills and feel better.

Penicillin V has added Potassium. I might've been confused between the different kinds of Penicillin... thanks anyway for the clarification.

i had it quite often in gradeschool and a bit in highschool too. but i never really got a lot of pain from it. fevers yes. sore throat yes. but i've experienced worse pain.. far, far worse.
Same here. I get it about every 2-3 years. Which is pretty normal for my age group, I think, because I don't get sick often.

Yeah, like my own body. I'm allergic to penicillin and all of it's family. Hooray for me.

No they put me on Azithromycin. It makes gives me nausea, and the *****.
I do feel better but the left side of my throat still hurts, my lymph node on the left is pretty swollen.

I've been gargling salt water, taking these godamn pills, and eating hot foods to kill the infection, whatever it is.
