See?? It's 0.02cm (0.01") thinner than the M1 Mini!

I think the next design will be the same but with the square corners. And after 14 years around 2038 they will change the design again. The same but with rounded corners.

"Sound good" -said iphone design team.

My bet is the marketing folks reported the number to 3 significant figures like all of the other numbers, ignoring the implication that the height is known to higher precision than the other dimensions.

That said, it’s likely irrelevant because the numbers reported in either version of the measurement are lower precision than the engineering specification, I’m sure.

If I was Apple I'd not update the industrial design of the Mac mini's enclosure until much much later.

Many are using accessories of the Intel Mac mini until now and being able to reuse them is a bonus for consumers.

What I want to see is a Mac mini using a A17 Bionic 3nm chip in the enclosure of a 2022 Apple TV 4K. iPhone chips are so fast that they should easily run macOS at less than 10-20W of power.
