Sadly, no. I checked the Apple homepage a few times throughout the day hoping to see something too, but no such luck. Kind of sad in my opinion. 😔Interesting that I don't even see anything from Apple Site marking the 40th year of the Mac intro. I must have missed it?
I was wondering the same thing! I even checked their Newsroom but nada. So strange because in 2014, Apple had a whole webpage celebrating the 30th anniversary then.Sadly, no. Yeah, kind of hard to believe there was no acknowledgment on their part at all. 40 years is generally seen as a big milestone…I was wondering the same thing! I even checked their Newsroom but nada. So strange because in 2014, Apple had a whole webpage celebrating the 30th anniversary then.
Very weird. It's like Apple forgot?
Very odd. Possible something fell through the cracks at HQ, or maybe Apple just doesn't do celebrations/anniversaries anymore? Any theories why Apple didn't share anything this year, but did for the 30 year anniversary?Yeah, kind of hard to believe there was no acknowledgment on their part at all. 40 years is generally seen as a big milestone…
Yeah, you raise a good point; I don’t remember there being any other anniversary mentions for iPhone or other products, so maybe they have stopped?Very odd. The Macintosh is what Apple started with, so it's really kind of gut-wrenching. Maybe I'm taking this a bit too seriously, but is it really that hard to acknowledge your company's original product's 40th anniversary?
To be fair, there was no "happy 10 year" for the iPhone in 2017, from what I remember, or "happy 10 year" for the iPad in 2020. Maybe it really is just no longer Apple's practice? Kinda sad because that's what made them unique and a bit different.

Nearly Apple's entire executive team (minus Cook) was in the front row at the Computer History Museum's Mac 40th anniversary event "Insanely Great" last night. Most of the original Mac team (including this guy named Woz) were also there. Surprised that this site (named after the product) didn't cover it.Interesting that I don't even see anything from Apple Site marking the 40th year of the Mac intro. I must have missed it?
