Those Dalmatian islands got some beautiful waterand nothing beats native olive oil and wine from the next village nearby ... no idea how it looks on your little island but I have to admit that I get a bit jelly to think about it. Time to kick yo ass fantazy wise again I suppose..:D

I looked up the Dalmatian Islands. That place looks beautiful! Ancient cities on rugged Mediterranean Coast? Yes, please. :cool:

My island is nothing like that place, for sure. Americans were prolly on summer vacation. I'm so ready for the tourists to leave. They're loud, obnoxious and clueless. And there's so damn many of 'em...:eek:

Yikes!

Just back from holiday to find I (Tall Saints) missed the cut. Thought my earlier post would have been enough to secure a place in the head2head comp.

My heart sank when as I scanned the list - was looking forward to renewing the iToys rivalry.

Really Jaffa, no way for me to squeeze in? My weekends will be emptier than Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard.

If we added Tall Saints and another team for 22, would that work? If not, what's the magic #? May be able to convince a friend or two to join, if need be. Would love to have the whole gang back together.

Thanks for the kind words and support Tilpots and Pachyderm, but I suspect squeezing in extra teams at this stage would be too give Jaffa quite a headache.

Fingers crossed there'll be a H2H cup too? Along the same lines as last year with a top 8 knockout? But time is running out....

Otherwise, if anyone needs me I'll be residing in the 'where are they now?' file!

A British friend of mine is playing fantasy 1v1 with me - he'd surely join today if that'd help! But he's not the kind of person to sign up on a (mac related :D) online forum. He's a Pool fan if that's of any interest :D

But of course that's totally up to Jaffa! Showed the TallSaints where they belonh last year already, so no biggie for me anyway. ;)
 
Unfortunately, we're limited to 20 teams in this particular competition to give us a 38 game 'each team plays each other team twice' set up.

However, the Tall Saints are still in the 'traditional' MR League as well as the Fantasy Cup, so at least there are two competitions phil.black can humiliate twietee in this season. :)

twietee, just thanks for the words - particularly 'belonh'. Nothing spices up a put down more than a typo. ;) I note realise the cup is a straight knockout tourney, so I hope we meet at some point along the way. A final re-match is the dream, of course.

Don't forget chaps - the first deadline of the new season falls at 11.30am GMT tomorrow morning.

It's worth noting that in previous years the demand on the Premier League site has sometimes caused issues with logging in the last few hours, so it might be worth making sure that any changes to your squad and line up are sorted out in good time. :)

A couple of close games, nowhere more so than the match between Fizzy's Flyers and Cup holders iToys - fans were treated to a grandstand finish as the Flyers edged out winners by a single point.

Sat Vlaar last week. Cost me from having a pretty good week. Thought long and hard about playing the WC to switch out about 5 guys, but I'm really trying to be a bit more patient this season. Those knee-jerk transfers have cost me before. Hoping RVP comes back to help 'what's a matta Mata?' He looked awful out there. Hazard did too. A lot of $ tied up in those 2. Saw they were among the most transferred out, unsurprisingly. Their schedules look favorable for the next few weeks so I'm hoping my patience pays off.
