Apologies for the long post. If it's TL;DR for you then move on (there's no need to tell me it's a long post, I already know).
I want to be positive about it, but the Creator Studio is a bit confusing, especially for those of us who have a full price copy of one or more of the pro apps. I have Final Cut Pro, Motion and Compressor. I agree with Dan that this is excellent value, especially if you have family members to share it with or are on a really tight budget but for those of us who are single users the costs start to mount up.
I left Adobe behind because of them starting to rent their software so this makes me a little uneasy. I suppose it'll depend what they mean by "premium". Will it just be assets, or will it include AI features (if not now then at some point in the future)?
I've always thought that the built in transitions and lower thirds weren't great and have used third party options. If the "Premium" content includes some that are actually worth using, then that might start to justify the cost.
I'm also not sure about the inclusion of the "iWork" apps. Good as they are, they're hardly what anyone would call professional. Pages is hardly going to replace InDesign or Affinity (Publisher).
Having said all that, my final thought is that, like many, I paid for FCP many years ago and haven't had to give Apple a bean since then, so there's a part of me that kind of expects that I should pay something again at some point for FCP. I'm just not sure that a subscription is the answer when pretty much everything seems to be a sub these days and most of us are sick of them.
