I upgraded from 7 to 10 and am very happy with it, 10 has come a long way. I plan to upgrade to 11 when it comes. 👍🏻
Wait. I have a AW 4 and I will wait for the Ultra 4. I still don't see any benefits of the current models. My AW 4 looks almost the same and can do most of the things I need.
I have a series 10 but I'm considering a AW3. It'll really come down to specs and how it feels on my wrist. I want the durability because I'm done with screen protectors and cases. I shouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff. The 10 is so much thinner though and I don't know if I could do an ultra for sleep tracking. We will see soon I guess.
Red nighttime display is still there. Switch to Modular Ultra or Wayfinder watch face then edit and swipe to nightmare set it to auto. It will turn red in low light conditions.
Same boat. Until my Ultra 1st gen can’t hold a charge and there’s a truly spectacular update, I’m holding off. For me, battery life is the biggest factor. Even charging every other day feels like a hassle when I already have so many things that need plugging in: phone, iPad, MBP, ThermoWorks probes, headphones, lawn and garden gear, power tools, etc. I really miss the days when a watch didn’t need recharging.
Butterfly keyboard, ports reduction, and thermal cooling issues in a mis-prioritized chase for minimalism ruined that rule.

It's always the same with tech gadgets, run home and use it because soon it's old and outdated🫣🤭, still don't know if I should upgrade my 10 to the 11! But definitely I go again for the iPhone 17 Pro Max and trade in my 16 Pro Max in pristine condition, saves me apx 1/3 of the new price 🤭😂
Considering to upgrade my 9 after two years of intensive use, I wouldn't mind getting a new one... if U3 finally comes in a smaller size I'd go for it. If not, I'll just keep my current watch for one more year, kinda scratched and the battery has seen better days too, but the huge AWU looks ridiculous on my small wrist. I seriously don't understand why a smaller AWU still isn't an option...
As I tried to say, the S8 does not have a red watch face. One must purchase an Ultra to get that. It used to be available on my S2 and they removed it somewhere along the line. The faces you mention are Ultra faces, not available on my S8.
I purchased old stock of the AWU2 at Costco last November, with of O2 sensor activated, and will be trading my AWU1 into Apple for a gift card, so I will not be upgrading my AWU2 this year unless Apple adds the blood pressure or blood glucose sensor, which I highly doubt this year and for the next few years.
You can kind of get it if you set a watch face color to red; depending on which face you are using some of it will be in white but most will be red.
