Red nighttime display is still there. Switch to Modular Ultra or Wayfinder watch face then edit and swipe to nightmare set it to auto. It will turn red in low light conditions.S8 & looking forward to U3. Unfortunately you threw cold water on it with your comment about new Massimo lawsuit. And the only reason I want the U3 is for the red nighttime display. I had that on my S2 and they took it away. I’ve missed it ever since then.
Same boat. Until my Ultra 1st gen can’t hold a charge and there’s a truly spectacular update, I’m holding off. For me, battery life is the biggest factor. Even charging every other day feels like a hassle when I already have so many things that need plugging in: phone, iPad, MBP, ThermoWorks probes, headphones, lawn and garden gear, power tools, etc. I really miss the days when a watch didn’t need recharging.I have an Ultra 1 but will wait for another year. Doesn't seem the Ultra 3 have much in the way of upgrades. The 2026 watches should have a processor upgrade (which would make it two processing generations over my current ultra) and hopefully a more significant design change. But I'm good for now.
Every release or pending release will be "worse" than the next one coming.
As I tried to say, the S8 does not have a red watch face. One must purchase an Ultra to get that. It used to be available on my S2 and they removed it somewhere along the line. The faces you mention are Ultra faces, not available on my S8.Red nighttime display is still there. Switch to Modular Ultra or Wayfinder watch face then edit and swipe to nightmare set it to auto. You can kind of get it if you set a watch face color to red; depending on which face you are using some of it will be in white but most will be red.As I tried to say, the S8 does not have a red watch face.
