I miss the early days pre-pro models of just buying a new iphone and getting all the latest tech. It’s been monetised beyond all recognition!

For the low cost MacBooks, I want to see them as the MacBook version of the iMac. Same fun colors, white bezels, white keyboards, all just like iMac. But then for on the go. Make them look fun again, just like the PowerBook G3, which was a notebook version of the colored iMacs then. I think they will sell like hot cakes. I don't need one, but if they come out, I want one.
And they would be a perfect decoy product for the white bezel haters, to divert to MacBook Air instead.

Yes! Give us the iBooks again! Cool looking laptops that matches the iMac, just like they did back in the day!

17e needs to be 499. no reason to buy it over 17 if it's 599 or more

Until recently, I thought that since 16e is based on 14, then logically 17e will be based on 15. But after seeing that the Apple Watch SE 3 is still based on Series 4 (like the SE 2 three years ago) instead of Series 7, I have serious doubts. This kind of cheap decisions from Apple are disappointing.
