I'm not too thrilled for FCP on the iPad. You still have zero external storage support to truly move projects back and fourth on Mac and iPad.

So what's the use?

Another glorified iMovie for iPad.

Bring in the ability to attach external storage and don't depend on cloud storage.

Then we have something.

And in its current form not worth the $4.99 subscription. Maybe a flat fee of $99.

Devinci on iPad sounds more worthwhile.

Premiere Pro even better. Cant beat Premiere Pro market share and user base.

OK, so I'm seeing more complaints about this than expected (and a lot of focus on the guys' clothes ).

Wasn't the fact that the iPad went "Pro" without either of these two apps actually one of the major points of contention?

I would've figured this would've been met with a resounding: "FINALLY!!!!"

I mean, I don't use my Apple products in the pro space (I have a company-issued PC for that), but I recall this reaching cacophonous levels for the last several years, especially with the addition of M1 to the iPad.

In other news, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to see a display size increase of 0.2-inches.

It is ridiculous what point of irrelevance we have reached if this are the main updates of a phone.

That would actually be kind of funny to lean into coordinated outfits more. For a bit. A handful of us (those who have seen this thread) would enjoy the inside joke. For those unaware, it would create some awesome confusion. You could have some fun with it.

It could be a fun way to lead up to announcing some MR apparel/merch. You and @Hartley, without ever acknowledging (which I think would be key to the haha), could wear the same thing for a few episodes leading up to the apparel/merch announcement. In some circles, would generate some fun buzz.

Maybe take this post down. This is bad. Everything about it. Hard to believe electronic blog nerds can’t get audio/video together, also that white contrast is horrendous. Plus there was no good info. I had to fast forward bc it was just a waste of time. I hope this message will help them improve drastically. Makes you appreciate Marques and Linus so much more.

Your expectation is flawed. Marques and Linus don’t have articles reporting all their information. Macrumors does, which is why this video show is just supplemental. It’s not supposed to be brand new information, it’s just entertainment. A couple Apple nerds talking about Apple stuff, exactly like what we do in these forums.

Also you probably fast forwarded past the part where they said they were not expecting to make a video that day, but the news came out suddenly so they had to make do with what they had.

$£€50 per yr each is too much IMO. Especially as most users will want to use Mac versions on top. That adds up fast, with all the extras on top.

Seriously? For pro apps? That's the bargain of the century.
